EcoEnergy Insights Wins Top Project of the Year Award

U.S.A, July 21, 2020 EcoEnergy Insights, a leading provider of IoT and analytics-driven business outcome services, has been awarded the Top Project of the Year Award in the elite Environment + Energy Leader Awards program. The company was recognized for using predictive insights from its CORTIX™ building IoT platform to help a large manufacturing plant in the U.S. to achieve its sustainability and energy management goals. EcoEnergy Insights is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), a leading global provider of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies.

“We are delighted to receive this award. This is recognition of our ability to understand the unique context of building and equipment operations and deliver measurable results,” said Mansoor Ahmad, President, EcoEnergy Insights. “This project is an excellent example of digital transformation using the CORTIX platform, and this award is a great validation of our innovative approach and hard work.”

EcoEnergy Insights won the top project award by helping the manufacturing plant achieve a 6.3% average reduction in CO2 emissions and surpass the yearly sustainability target of 3% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in just six months. With their “Managed Energy Efficiency Service” approach, EcoEnergy Insights was able to effectively utilize the data generated by business systems and equipment to reach the reduction goals.

“Solving environmental sustainability issues in manufacturing operations is difficult without access to the right data,” the judges noted. “EcoEnergy Insights uses a building Internet of Things (IoT) platform that applies advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to large volumes of diverse data to gain deep insights. In the digital transformation era, this is how tough sustainability problems are solved.”

“The plant’s work with EcoEnergy Insights shows how manufacturing companies can successfully improve their energy management and reach sustainability goals by proactively optimizing operations,” the judges added.

The Environment + Energy Leader Awards is a program recognizing excellence in products and services that provide companies with energy and environmental benefits, and in projects implemented by companies that improved environmental or energy management and increased the bottom line.

“With rapid advancements and a near-constant rate of change in the field, sustainability and energy professionals had to prove to our judges that they were really the best of the best this year,” said Sarah Roberts, Environment + Energy Leader publisher. "With a highly respected (and critical) judging panel and a strict set of judging criteria, entrants faced an extremely high bar to qualify for an award.”
